Jessica Simpson is an American pop-culture fixture. Her rise to stardom began with her pop single "I Wanna Love You Forever," which climbed all the way to #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2000. Simpson achieved even greater national visibility and popularity with the television show "Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica" in 2003. She alater made the crossover into film, starring as Daisy Duke in the 2005 feature-film The Dukes of Hazard. Her cover of Nancy Sinatra's hit "These Boots Are Made For Walkin'" was featured on the film's soundtrack and rose to #14 on Billboard's Hot 100. Subsequent film vehicles starring Simpson have achieved little commercial success.
In recent years, Simpson has continued her musical career and branched out into other product areas including: haircare, shoes, handbags and make-up. She's also been featured in advertisements for Pizza Hut and DirecTV. Her most recent studio album hits stores in September 2008.

Jessica Simpson is the older sister of pop-singer Ashlee Simpson-Wentz.
Simpson attended J.J. Pearce High School in Richardson, Texas.
