Sandra Bullock’s newest business venture is now open for business.  The actress recently bought the property on 609 West Sixth Street and turned it into a General Store.  Walton’s Fancy and Staple is a coffee shop, a deli, a florist, a bakery and a catering shop all rolled into one.  The 100 year old building has been completely renovated while trying to maintain the look and feel of an old time general store.  Sandra even got her sister, a professional baker from Vermont to come to Austin to consult on the types of food and pastries to be served.  Walton’s is just another venture to add to Sandra’s Austin collection.  She already owns Bess Bistro on West Sixth, Mellow Johnn’ys on Nueces, and Walton’s Florist and Nursery on Bee Caves.  Bullock recently name dropped Austin on a piece from the June Harper’s Bazaar magazine, she mentions that ‘I love New York, and consider myself an East Coast person, But I really appreciate Austin… I don’t want to talk about how much I love it because I don’t want anyone else to move there!’    C’mon Sandra just a few more celebrities moving into town wouldn’t hurt.  We’ll take whoever, I’m not picky, (except they have to be A-list….and good looking…and….)
