Jason returns (for the umpteenth time)
The new Friday the 13th movie was the winner at the box office over the Valentine’s weekend. I guess it’s easier to make a move on your date during a scary movie. The old ‘I’m frightened so I’m going to put my hand on your lap,’ or the ‘lean in close hand/arm grab due to the music getting increasingly faster and higher pitched,’ never seems to fail. The movie raked in over 40 million on its opening weekend, which was directed by Marcus Nispel and produced by Michael Bay. (On a sidenote, every time I hear Michael Bay’s name, I can’t help but think of the song ‘End of an Act’ from the Team America: World Police Movie.) Friday the 13th was shot in Austin over at the film studios on 51st street. Also I’m just realizing this now as I write that the movie opened on a Friday the 13th. How convenient.

People Moving Out, People Moving In

One of these things is not like the other...
I heard from a source that Lance Armstrong has pulled out of his contract at the shore condos on Lady Bird Lake. I would like to think that it had something to do with him impregnanting his girlfriend and wanting to purchase a place close to her family, but the source said he was supposed to live on the 19th floor, and pulled out because they aren’t offering hotel services anymore. He’s Lance Freakin’ Armstrong, he shouldn’t have to wash his own sheets, or put a mint on his own pillow.
Frank Beard has recenetly purchased a Lake Travis Home. You might know Frank Beard as the non-bearded member of ZZ Top. Beard was born in Frankston, Texas and attended high school in Irving, Texas. Even with a lack of a beard he is still able to Mustache up an awesome drum solo. Friday Night Lights actors Jesse Plemons, (Landry - who is only 20! They have a 20 year old playing an 18 year old. That’s about as close as it gets to having an actor/character the same age in hollywoodland) and Taylor Kitsch (Riggins) both have purchased condos in Austin. Plemons is keeping it real on the eastside, while Kitsch opted to stay cool down south.
